Coverforce Fairweather Turner P/L, our Insurance Brokers and risk
managers, have developed it to assist in the day-to-day management of the Lifelong
Learning Council Queensland’s insurance programme. This site also includes some management
tools and links that will provide an expanding suite of information and services available
to Members.
Organisations eligible to become members of the Group
Insurance Scheme include adult education providers; neighbourhood houses and community
centres; service providers covering youth, people with a disability, housing, health
and others; special interest groups, clubs and societies and many more. That is, any
organisation that sees itself as having a role in providing learning opportunities,
principally for adults.

with some background information. However, the main part of this site
is for the use of Group Insurance Scheme Members only. It is a secure site with access
only via registered “pin” numbers.
The Lifelong Learning Council Queensland supports adult
and community learning, education and training in Queensland offered throughout the
community. We established this insurance scheme in order to help non-profit, community-based
organisations meet their risk management needs through insurance at cost effective
price.
In offering this service our aim is to:

help provide a network of organisations and individuals with an
interest in adult and community education to help raise the profile of adult and community
education in Queensland

help provide a support base to assist the needs of providers of
adult learning opportunities, the educators, administrators and managers, and others
involved in lifelong learning
The types of insurances available to organisations through
this scheme include:

Public / Product Liability ($10M)

Volunteer Personal Accident ($100,000)

Directors & Officers / Professional Indemnity (including Employment
Practices and other extensions) (choice between $2M or $5M), and
